Android app "Rangoli Designs & Maker" (package: in.nareshbasude.rangoli)
Effective date: 25 August 2026 · Last updated: 30 September 2026 (added advertising)
Rangoli needs no account and we do not collect, store or sell your personal information. The app shows advertising served by Google AdMob (details in section 2a). Everything you create in the app stays on your phone.
We collect none ourselves. The app has no login and no analytics SDK of ours.
Your favourite designs and the rangolis you draw in the Maker are saved only in the app's local storage on your device. They never leave your phone and are deleted when you uninstall the app.
The app shows occasional full-screen ads served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google's SDK may collect device information such as the advertising ID, IP address, and general app-interaction signals. This data is processed by Google under its own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy — see also how Google uses data from AdMob.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your phone's settings (Settings → Google → Ads).
The app makes one type of network request: it fetches our public photo gallery — a list of rangoli design images and the images themselves. These are anonymous HTTPS requests that contain no personal data, no identifiers and no location.
Everything else — the 30 layered designs, step-by-step guides, the drawing pad and tips — is bundled inside the app and works fully offline.
When you share a design image, one of your own drawings, or the app itself, the app opens your phone's standard Android share menu. What you share, and with whom, is entirely your choice and is handled by the app you pick (e.g. WhatsApp). Rangoli does not see or store the result.
The app is intended for a general audience, is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Besides Google AdMob (section 2a), we use no third-party analytics or tracking services. Photo gallery images are served from our own server and Google's Blogger image CDN (blogger.googleusercontent.com), which receive only the standard anonymous image request.
Since no data is collected, there is nothing for us to delete. Uninstalling the app removes all locally saved favourites and drawings.
All rangoli designs in the app are original artwork drawn by the app itself. Festival dates shown in the app follow the commonly used panchang and can differ by a day between regional calendars — please confirm locally.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
