Pharmacognosy: D Pharm Notes · Android · last updated 6 October 2026

This app collects nothing. No account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Nothing you do in the app leaves your phone. The only thing the app does online is download new and corrected drug cards from our server.

What the app stores

The app keeps a small amount of study progress in your phone's own private app storage so it can remember where you were:

This never leaves the device. It is not uploaded, backed up to us, shared, or sold, and the app has no way to send it anywhere. You can erase all of it at any time with Reset progress on the About screen, or by uninstalling the app.

Permissions

The app requests one Android permission: Internet. It is used for one thing only — every few hours the app downloads a public file of drug cards, and the specimen photos those cards use, from nareshbasude.in, so new drugs, photos and corrections reach you without an app update. It cannot access your camera, microphone, photos, files, contacts or location.

Content updates

Those downloads are plain requests for the same public files every user gets. The app sends no account, no device identifier, no advertising ID and nothing about your study progress. Like any web request, it necessarily shows our web server your IP address; we do not use it to identify you or link it to anything. If your phone is offline the app keeps working with the drug cards and photos it already has.

Children

The app is aimed at pharmacy, Ayurveda and botany students and is rated for ages 18 and over. It is not directed at children, and since it collects no data, it collects no data from children either.

Third parties

There are none. The app contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, no crash reporting service and no social media integration. The only network request is the content download described above, to our own server.

Medical disclaimer

Pharmacognosy is a study reference for examinations. The uses listed for each crude drug are the pharmacological actions taught in the syllabus — they are not prescriptions, doses, or medical advice. Several drugs described in the app are poisonous and a small number are legally controlled in India. Never self-medicate with any plant material. Always confirm against your prescribed textbook and your own university syllabus.

Content

Every entry in the app was written from pharmacopoeial concepts in our own words. Nothing is reproduced from any textbook, coaching handout or examination paper.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the revised version will be posted at this address with a new date at the top. Since the app collects nothing, any change is likely to be a clarification rather than a change in practice.
