Privacy Policy — Mahadev Status

Android app "Mahadev Status" (package: in.nareshbasude.mahadevstatus)

Summary: we collect NO personal data

Mahadev Status has no account, no advertising and no analytics. It downloads photos and videos from our own server so that new content can appear without a Play Store update, and that is the only network activity in the app.

1. Data we collect

None. There is no login, no sign-up, no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK and no tracking of any kind. We do not know who you are.

The items you mark as favourites are saved only in the app's local storage on your device. They never leave your phone and are deleted when you uninstall the app.

2. Internet access

The app fetches one public content file from mahadev.nareshbasude.in, and then the photos and videos it lists. These are plain, anonymous web requests: no device identifier, no advertising ID, no account and nothing about you is sent.

The honest caveat: like any web request, ours reveals your IP address to the server answering it. Our server keeps standard short-lived web-server logs and we do not use them to build a profile of anyone.

The last downloaded list is cached on your phone, so the app keeps working when you are offline.

3. Permissions

INTERNET — to download the content described above.
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE — only on Android 9 and older, and only so that the Save button can put a photo or video into your gallery. On Android 10 and newer this permission is not present in the app at all, because saving there uses the system's own media store.
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — added automatically by the Android networking libraries the app is built on; it only reports whether a connection exists.

The app never asks for access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, or to your own photo gallery. It can write into the gallery; it cannot read it.

4. What is saved on your phone

Your favourites list.
The last content list, so the app opens offline.
Files you downloaded, kept in the app's temporary folder so that saving and then sharing the same item does not download it twice. You can clear these any time from About → Clear downloaded files.
Anything you tapped Save on, which goes into your gallery under "Mahadev Status" and stays there even if you uninstall the app.

5. Children

The app is a general-audience devotional app and is not directed at children under 13. Since it collects no personal data at all, it collects none from children either.

6. Content and copyright

Mahadev Status is a devotional app made for sharing Shiv bhakti. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any temple, trust, organisation or brand.

We publish only content we have the right to share. If any image or video in the app belongs to you and you would like it removed, write to the address below and it will be taken down promptly.

7. Changes to this policy

If the app ever starts collecting anything, this page and the Google Play Data Safety declaration will be updated before that version is released.
