Summary: we collect NO personal data

Ganesh Utsav works fully offline, needs no account, shows no ads and does not collect, store or share any personal information. Everything you do in the app stays on your phone.

1. Data we collect

None. The app has no login, no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK and no tracking of any kind.

Your favourites, checklist ticks, visarjan settings and card details are saved only in the app's local storage on your device. They never leave your phone and are deleted when you uninstall the app.

2. Internet access

The app makes one type of network request: an anonymous HTTPS request to fetch a public JSON file with festival queue-status updates. This request contains no personal data, no identifiers and no location. If you are offline, the app simply shows its built-in information.

3. Permissions

Internet — only for the queue-status updates described above.
The app does not request location, camera, contacts, storage, microphone or any other sensitive permission.

4. Sharing features

When you share an invitation card or text, the app opens your phone's standard Android share menu. What you share, and with whom, is entirely your choice and is handled by the app you pick (e.g. WhatsApp). Ganesh Utsav does not see or store the result.

"Navigate" buttons open your maps app with the public location of a pandal or beach. Calls to helplines open your phone's dialler. These apps are governed by their own privacy policies.

5. Children

The app is intended for a general audience and collects no data from anyone, including children.

6. Third parties

We use no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking services. External links (e.g. official mandal live-darshan sites, BMC portal) open in your browser and are governed by those sites' policies.

7. Data deletion

Since no data is collected, there is nothing for us to delete. Uninstalling the app removes all locally saved preferences.

8. Independence disclaimer

Ganesh Utsav is an independent devotional companion app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any mandal, trust or government body. Pandal names are used only to identify public places of worship. Queue waits are indicative estimates — always confirm locally.

9. Changes & contact

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
