DocVault: Documents Organizer (in.nareshbasude.docvault) · Effective 30 August 2026
DocVault is an offline organizer for your personal documents. You create folders and add photos or PDF files of your own documents. Everything happens locally on your phone.
None. DocVault does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data, usage data, analytics or identifiers. The app contains no ads, no tracking libraries, and requires no account.
The app does not request the INTERNET permission. It is technically unable to send anything off your device.
DocVault requests no Android permissions. Files are added only through the Android system picker and the system camera app, which you control. When you use the camera, the photo is written directly into DocVault's private storage and does not appear in your gallery.
All files and their details (names, notes, folders) are stored in the app's private storage area on your phone. Other apps cannot read this area. We (the developer) have no access to it and no copy of it.
If you enable App Lock, your 4-digit PIN is stored on your device only, as a salted cryptographic hash. It is never transmitted anywhere.
Documents leave the app only when you explicitly use Share or "Save to phone". Where they go is then entirely your choice.
Because documents live inside the app's private storage, uninstalling DocVault permanently deletes them. Keep a second copy of critical documents elsewhere using Share or "Save to phone".
DocVault is intended for adults (18+). It collects no data from anyone, including children.
DocVault is an independent app. It is not affiliated with any government body, UIDAI, the Income Tax Department, or DigiLocker, and it does not issue, verify or validate documents.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this same address with a new effective date.
